Default Plastic water bottles - 05-12-2009, 02:40 PM

Do you think that mineral water is a waste of plastic? People hardly recycle and we can easily get water from our faucet or fridge(if you have a certain type). Then why should we by water in plastic bottles? Are these chemical water bottles also a threat to us? What do you guys think?

Hippie.

I think it's not a problem. Just do more for recycling to entice people to do so.

Aparently, scientists have discoverd that if you re-fill plastic water bottles and store them in a cold dry place, e.g. Fridge, then it heats up slightly.. Say traveling in a car or just in your hand. There is a higher chance of developing breast cancer. Somthing to do with the chemicals in the plastic.

Is it bad that the topic "Plastic Water Bottles" made me think you were going to talk about heroin?

If it's recycable I don't see an issue. It's a person's personal responsability to recycle anything that can. We can't expect everyone to do it.
